After you buy a server, wait until setup finishes, then start it from Overview.
The four power buttons sit at the top of every server page.
Copy the game address from Overview or Network → Addresses. Extra ports are assigned by the panel.
Change Paper, Forge or Fabric, Java and Minecraft version from Settings → General. Changing software creates a backup first.
Open Support tickets from the dashboard. Include the server short ID and the exact error. Never send passwords, cards or reset links.
Make a restore point before updates, plugin changes, software switches or wipes.
Each backup row has Restore, Download, Lock and Delete for that restore point.
Edit configs in the panel, then open Settings → Connection for SFTP details. Keep those credentials private.
Settings → Server properties changes whitelist, render distance and other gameplay settings without editing the file by hand.
Search Modrinth on the Plugins tab, or upload a jar in Files. Restart after you install.
Open Modpacks, pick a version, then create a profile or replace the active one. Pylon stops the server, backs up, and installs the pack onto that profile.
Keep more than one world on one server. Each profile has its own files, software, storage, backups and schedules.
Install the matching plugin or mod, allocate a UDP extra port, then put that exact port in the voice chat config. Players need the same client mod.
Create a private database for a plugin from Tools. Copy the details into the plugin and keep the password private.
Open the Players tab to search the current list, then use the Overview console for op, kick and whitelist commands.
Turn inventory copies on or off, choose how often they run, and restore one player without using a world backup slot.
Settings → Users lets a verified PylonHosting account help with the server. They never get billing, SFTP, reinstall or user management.
Paste a Discord or HTTPS webhook under Settings → Webhooks, pick events, save, then send a test.
Tools → Schedules can run a command, a power action or a backup on a timer. Backup tasks are limited to one run every 30 minutes.
Open Server billing for renewal date, payment method, Cancel plan and Go to server. Wallet credit is on the Wallet page.
Open Wallet for spendable credit. Top up an allowed amount, spend it on eligible purchases, or use wallet auto-renew where that option is enabled.
Copy the ERRORS line from Overview, match it here, then fix RAM, Java, plugins, ports, whitelist or the world before you reinstall.
Confirm the server is running, copy the Game address exactly, match the client version, then check whitelist, ports and console errors.
Read the console, copy errors, then check RAM, Java, plugins and the world.
This guide will teach you how to connect to SFTP and the steps needed.
Ever wondered how much storage 1 million chunks will use in a Minecraft server? I tested this on a Paper Minecraft server with 8 GB of RAM.
